Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 - "Heavier Yet - Lays The Crownless Head" (Released, October 4, 2024). The project embodies a powerful fusion of Afrobeat with themes of resistance, identity, and social justice. Executive-produced by Lenny Kravitz, this album is Seun's first major release since 2018’s Black Times. The album features collaborations from Damian Marley and Sampa The Great.

Halsey - "The Great Impersonator" (Released October 25, 2024). This is a deeply personal and conceptual project that blends influences from various musical eras and icons. Exploring themes of identity and resilience, the album is inspired by Halsey's battles with both lupus and leukemia, infusing each track with emotional intensity. Standout songs include "Only Living Girl in LA," a track reflecting Halsey's vulnerability, and "Lonely is the Muse," which channels influences from legends like David Bowie and PJ Harvey. The album draws on sounds from 70s rock to early 2000s pop, showing Halsey's versatility and passion for storytelling through the lens of her own experiences and inspirations.

Pixies - "The Night the Zombies Came" (Released, October 25, 2024). Despite its title, "The Night the Zombies Came" isn't themed around horror but still delivers the raw, alternative rock sound, fans expect, possibly touching on themes of modern anxieties or societal issues. The album experiments with inspirations as varied as medieval poetic structures, surf rock, and dark, gothic imagery, providing a dynamic contrast across its 13 tracks.

GloRilla - "Glorious" (Released, October 11, 2024). Following her successful mixtape "Ehhthang Ehhthang" earlier this year, Glorious is the debut studio album from GloRilla, marking a major milestone in her career. The album’s standout tracks include collaborations with Latto, Sexyy Red, Muni Long, Fridayy ,T-Pain and others, which showcase GloRilla’s charisma and confrontational lyrics. Songs like “Let Her Cook” and “TGIF” highlight her raw style and humour, while “Glo’s Prayer” and “Rain Down on Me” delve into her personal reflections, including her relationship with faith.

Tyla - "TYLA +" (Released October 11, 2024) The deluxe edition of Tyla’s self-titled album, TYLA +, expands her Amapiano-influenced style with three fresh tracks and high-profile collaborations from the likes of Gunna, Becky G, and Tony Duardo. Building on the popularity of her hit single "Water," Tyla incorporates diverse elements from R&B to pop, blending them into a global sound that continues to showcase her versatility.

Razorlight - “Planet Nowhere” (Released, October 25, 2024) Razorlight’s new project marks the return of their classic lineup, with Johnny Borrell, Björn Ågren, Carl Dalemo and Andy Burrows reuniting after 16 years. Known for its reflective and stripped-down indie rock sound, the album captures both nostalgia and freshness with tracks like “Scared of Nothing,” the provocative “Taylor Swift = US Soft Propaganda,” and the closing song, “April Ends.

Yeat - "Lyfestyle" (Released, October 18, 2024) Yeat's Lyfestyle album has made a significant impact since its release, debuting at No.1 on the Billboard 200. The 22-track album blends intense, heavy-hitting beats with Yeat's experimental flair, featuring collaborations with the likes of Lil Durk, Don Toliver and Kodak Black. Tracks like “GEEK TIMË” and “STFU” have been particularly well-received, dominating Spotify’s debut charts and climbing Apple Music charts globally.

Whether you're into R&B, pop, or rock, October 2024’s releases have something for every listener looking to explore both familiar sounds and bold new directions.
