KENDRICK LAMAR returns after 5 years hiatus with his highly most anticipated fifth studio album titled "Mr Morale & The Big Steppers" a double packaged album, with Side A & B, "Mr Morale" on Side A and "The Big Steppers" on Side B - both sides have 9 tracks each and the project has 18 tracks altogether spanning at 1hour 13minutes.
K-Dot's latest project is very avant-garde with features from the likes of Summer Walker, Kodak Black, Ghostface Killah, Sampha, Taylour Paige, Blxst, Amanda Reifer, Baby Keem, Sam Dew, Tanna Leone and Beth Gibbons.
Storytelling, lyricism and wordplay had always been the major strengths Kendrick poses, this had been so evident from his previous albums/mixtapes, from the days of his 2010's "O(verly) D(edicated)" mixtape to his 2012's major label debut album - "good kid, m.A.A.d city", 2015's "To Pimp a Butterfly", "Untitled" album in 2016 and "Damn" in 2017 which is his last album before "Mr Morale & The Big Steppers"
On the latest project, it's fair to say that Kendrick did not disappoint his fans, in fact he wowed them with his introspective and captivating lyrical contents - so sharp and so deep whilst also in terms of overall production, songs mastering, songs arrangement, guest features, it all tends to fall into place cohesively.
K-Dot has yet once again cemented himself as one of the most profound rap geniuses of our time, I personally enjoy listening to this cinematic work of art and if you remotely enjoy hip hop / rap music then you need to check out this truly defining masterpiece body of work.
