DOJA CAT latest project, "Planet Her" being her 3rd studio album released June 25 2021 is a diffusion of Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Afrobeats & Pop, 14 tracks album featuring guest appearances from the likes of Ariana Grande, Young Thug, The Weeknd, SZA and JID.
The tracks in the album are a mixture of uptempos and ballads, the album listening experience starts with an Afrobeats infused track "Woman" which I believe will be very much appreciated by a lot of Doja's Afrobeats fans, hence she made sure her vocal style blends with the Afrobeats riddim and sounds to make it a bop.
"Payday" featuring Young Thug is a personal favourite for me, definitely one for the summer, very catchy and radio friendly.
"I Don't Do Drugs" featuring Ariana Grande is a major tune, with amazing chorus/beats, both Doja & Ariana vocals work very well on this track, thus complimenting each other's voices seamlessly.
"You Right" featuring The Weeknd is undeniably a radio smash hit, trendy and mainstream.
From start to finish on "Planet Her", every track has the beat you want to hear, fully laced with today's contemporary R&B pop-rap flavor, great vocals, fine lyrics and sublime productions, the kind of album that's hot in the summer and cozy warm in the winter.
